2019 Honda Insight Safety Features and Technologies
While on the road, safety is incredibly important, from the structure of the vehicle to the person’s driving practices to the available safety technologies. That’s why Honda continues to improve their engineering and technology lineup so that each of their vehicles meet their high standards for safety. And the all-new 2019 Honda Insight safety features and technologies show this dedication to driver and passenger protection.
The new 2019 Honda Insight is built with an Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ body structure with advanced front airbags and SmartVent® front side airbags equipped. There are also sophisticated side curtain airbags with rollover sensors throughout the rest of the cabin. Then, since seatbelts are incredibly important as well, each seat is outfitted with 3-point belts and the front seats also feature Automatic Tensioning System and seatbelt reminders.
And there are other standard engineering aspects that improve control and handling while improving the overall safety of the Insight. This includes the Vehicle Stability Assist™ with Traction Control, Electronic Brake Distribution, Brake Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Anti-Lock Braking System. However, the most impressive addition to the Insight’s safety is the standard Honda Sensing® suite of technologies.
Standard 2019 Honda Insight Honda Sensing® Technologies
Like many new 2019 model year Honda vehicles, the intuitive Honda Sensing® suite of intelligent driver-assistive technologies are standard on the 2019 Insight. Allowing the three Insight trim levels to be equipped with:
- Forward Collision Warning
- Lane Departure Warning
- Collision Mitigation Braking System™
