When you have been driving to work or going on vacation, your tires can take some hits on the road. Potholes and bumps can take their toll on your vehicle. If your vehicle begins to shake when you are on the highway, it could be a few things. Your tires may be out of balance and that can cause shaking, or your axle may need to be realigned for a smoother ride. These are very common and can be solved with an appointment with a mechanic.

Brakes can be another cause for concern when you are on the road. If a brake caliper sticks, it can cause a burning smell as well as vibration. Another cause may be brake rotors. If they are not working properly, they can cause vibration which can be felt in the steering wheel and brake pedal. Older vehicles can also have trouble with shaking. With colder weather, older engines may need to warm up before idling. We hope we’ve answered your questions.
